Cutlery's appearance can influence our perception of the taste of food, researchers from the University of Oxford reported in the journal Flavour (Spelling: UK-Flavour, USA-Flavor). Apparently, if we eat from a knife food tastes saltier, but if it is from a light plastic spoon the food feels more expensive and denser.
