Sports Teams May Help Reduce Bullying And Violence In Kids

A new study in Washington, DC showed that encouraging participation in team sports may reduce incidences of bullying and violence in children. Researchers analyzed data from the 2011 North Carolina Youth Risk Behavior Survey to see if athletic participation was associated with violence-related behaviors, including fighting, carrying a weapon and being bullied.
