Researchers Get Green Signal to Develop Synthetic Blood

Scottish researchers who are currently hoping to develop synthetic human blood have been given a license to use stem cells to manufacture the blood. Researchers at the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service, Edinburgh University and Roslin Cells have been granted the license by UK's Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), taking them another step closer to conducting clinical trials to test the synthetic blood.
