Grains left over while making beer, when blended, could be used to make red clay bricks which are environment-friendly and good insulators, a new study revealed. Eduardo Ferraz of the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar in Portugal said that bricks are often impregnated with polystyrene, as this way they enhance their heat-trapping abilities.
