Want to live your yoga? It's all very well feeling calm and serene (or strong and energised) on your yoga mat, but when you get back to the roots of yoga, it's about living differently.
That's why top London studio triyoga has launched a new initiative to help you to just that.
triyoga In Action aims to bring the yoga community together by supporting various charities and voluntaty organisations, offering compassion, kindness and practical help to those in need.
It all kicks off with an evening's celebration at the beautiful Camden studio on December 5th. Expect to find food and drink, music, chanting, meditation and more, with some of triyoga's favourite teachers, plus a very special mystery guest!
And as it's about the yoga community, there are several ways you can get involved.
Donate your time before or on the day, to help with organisation, or make a donation towards the auction – it could be anything from your time, to an experience or a prize – one person has offered a stay in her summer house, another a place on her retreat.
In true yogic spirit, you can give whatever feels right for you – it could be a CD of a piece music that means a lot to you or a few hours of your time for an evening's free babysitting, for example, or maybe you'd like to share your skills and knowledge (free PT session, anyone?)
All profits from the evening will go towards triyoga In Action's first voluntary organisation, Refugees START, which helps refugees as they arrive on the Greek Island of Lesbos.
If you'd like to help out or want to find out more information, email Gemma at community@triyoga.co.uk.
Tickets to the launch celebrations cost £30 (kids go free!) from triyoga.co.uk
If you can't make the evening, but still want to help out, you can take part in the auction online via the Refugees START website from November 28th. Happy bidding!
Time: 7-9pm
