Acceleration of Autoimmune Diabetes in a Mouse Model by Rotavirus Infection

Researchers say that causes of autoimmune (type1) diabetes may be a combination of genetic predisposition and environmental factors. A study published on March 27th in iPLOS Pathogens/i gets at the mechanisms by which rotavirus infection contributes to autoimmune diabetes in a mouse model of the disease.
