Conscience Clauses Increase Risk of Unwanted Pregnancies

A new study published in the Journal of Medical Ethics reveals that conscience clauses, through which some pharmacists decide not to provide the morning after pill without a prescription, can lead to higher rates of unwanted pregnancies and undermine the principle of universal healthcare on the NHS. These clauses should either be banned or enhanced so that pharmacists and patients know exactly where they stand, rather than the current "fudge", which serves nobody ...
