Acute Kidney Injury Can Now Be Repaired by a Protein inside the Organ

The Ohio State University's cardiovascular researchers at the Wexner Medical Center have shown that a protein known as MG53 present in kidney cells is necessary for the organ to repair itself after acute injury.
