Depression Drugs Linked to Dental Implant Failures

A recent study from McGill University found that dental implant procedures may be twice as likely to fail in patients who are using common antidepressants. According to the researchers, Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors, or SSRIs, may reduce bone formation, which can complicate the osseointegration process that must occur for a successful implantation.
