Equal Death Rates for Out-Of-Hours Emergencies and Working Hours Emergencies

A new research shows that children admitted to intensive care units in out-of-hours emergencies are not at a greater risk of dying as compared to children admitted during working hours. However, mortality rates are significantly higher in the winter, even after taking into account added health risks for children in the colder months.
